Easter Weekend :)))

What a great weekend it was.  We (John and I) started off golfing 9 holes while Owen was hanging out his Grandpa & Grandma White then headed to Chris' annual Bocce Ball Tourney, Easter Sunday we all went to Church with G & G White, Nicole, Karis, Randy and Cammy.  Owen was sporting his adorable little fadora.  Easter is a very special holiday for all of us as it is the day we celebrate Christ rising from the dead to save us all and give eternal life where are whole family will be reunited.
Finishing up 9 holes at Barton...the warm weather felt amazing

Zoo Day

We had our first trip to the Detroit Zoo on April, 13th.  It was an amazingly beautiful and warm spring day in Michigan.  All day (week really) I was excited to take Owen to see the polar bears...one of his favorite noises to make is very similar to a polar bear roar...at least I think so :)  any way by the time we got to the exhibit he feel asleep, so next time we will have to stop there first :)  Also with us at the Zoo was Grandma Zieglar, Aunt Karis and Cousin Cammy.

We are ready for the zoo...notice Owen's purple shirt :)

Six Month Check Up

Owen turned six months on the 5th.  We were at the pediatrition on the 12th for the check up and he did great :)  He was 19lbs2ozs and 27" both in the 75th percentile.  Here are a couple pics from the day.  He is getting sillier by the minute.  Love this boy :)

FOOD!!!

As you can probably tell with Owen's stellar physique...this boy likes to eat :)  He is already quite a foodie his favorite being pears...well really that rice cereal and mama's milk is all he really likes.  But we are trying lots of things.  Here are a couple pics and videos of this little journey.

Here is that physique...

Rainbow Baby

A very dear friend of mine shared this with me and I knew it had to make an appearance on our blog.  Owen is SO our Rainbow :)  This same friend also bought this onesie for Owen, and he wears it with pride :)  Thanks Dawn - LOVE YOU!

Rainbow baby refers to the understanding that the beauty of a rainbow does not negate the ravages of the storm.  When a rainbow appears, it doesn't mean the storm never happened or that the family is not still dealing with its aftermath.  What it means is that something beautiful and full of light has appeared in the midst of the darkness and clouds. Storm clouds may still hover but the rainbow provides a counterbalance of color, energy and hope.

Five Months

Gosh...I am pretty late in getting this one up.  But you know what they say better late than never :)

Owen was five months old on the 5th.  It has gone by fast but each day brings new smiles and experiances.  Love this little Chub :)
