First Christmas

We were so lucky to be able to spend Christmas with all our family this year.  Christmas Eve was spent with the Monteith's and Aunt Emily and Uncle Greg made the trip from China, Aunt Liz was also there with Penny from Austin, TX.  Cousins Beth, Jenny and Mike were also in town from Texas.  It really was a great time...

Owen's Baptism

Owen received the sacrament of Baptism on December 26th.  It really was a beautiful and joyful day.  Uncle Joe is his Godfather and Michelle Briggs his Godmother.  He wore a baptismal gown hand sewn by Great Grandma Carrico, 5 of 6 of her children and all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren have been baptized in this gown.  We were so touched by the sermon and the prayers offered for Owen's faith and future.  Uncle Kevin the pictures...Grandma Z has a video which I plan on posting once I have it.  Any way it was a really great day.  Thanks to all who were with us to celebrate...

Christmas at Home

We will be celebrating Christmas this year with our families in Ann Arbor so we opened our presents early at home.  Some highlights...Mom got a new camera, Dad a new Jacket and Owen a Christmas book and some rattles :)  It is just such a blessing to have so much to be happy and thankful for this Christmas.  What we also remember is that when celebrating Christmas we are celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ and with his birth came the promise of forgiveness and eternal life, which to our family means we will all one day be reunited.

We wish everyone peace, love, joy and hope this holiday season and always.  And of course...a big
MERRY CHRISTMAS :)

Smiling with Daddy

Santa came a little early for Mama this year with a new camera that can record HD video...which is awesome...but it took me a little bit to figure out how to post on the blog because technically I can't.  Instead I can post a link to youtube...
